Best Outdoor Furniture Brands Worth Restoring
Brands built on heavy-gauge aluminum or wrought iron frames are the ones most worth restoring: Brown Jordan, Tropitone, Woodard, Mallin, Hanamint, Castelle, Winston, Telescope Casual, and Lloyd Flanders among them. These frames were engineered to be rebuilt, and restoring one usually costs far less than a comparable new set.
What makes a frame worth the work
Wall thickness, weld quality, and hardware. Heavier tube resists denting and holds a repair; good welds can be re-welded; replaceable hardware means a piece can be serviced rather than scrapped.
Vintage and mid-century outdoor furniture often scores well on all three, which is why those pieces come through the shop regularly.
